The story
Twenty five years a housewife, and he threw her out.
Anne finds out about the affair on their anniversary, and Jonathan does not even pretend to be sorry. He is about to run the publishing company, or so he believes, so he puts his wife on the street without a second thought. Anne stops forgiving him. She walks back into the chairwoman's office at an elite publishing house, which is hers and always has been, and removes him from his job herself. The woman he treated as a homemaker for a quarter of a century was an heiress the entire time.
