The story
He left his daughter in the car and hung up on her.
Adrian has taken Stacy, the girl he grew up loving, and her boy Lucas out for the day when the car he left Esther in overheats and cuts out. The cooling stops. The child starts overheating, close to fainting, and calls her father, who does not listen long enough to hear any of it before ending the call. With her tablet nearly dead she reaches her mother instead and begs to be found, and the battery goes before she can say where she is. Claire has nothing to go on and a daughter somewhere.
