The story
Grandma had one rule. Stay away from serpents.
Bella breaks it by saving a badly wounded man in the forest, without knowing he is Silvan, the feared Silver Serpent King, who decides on the spot that she is his. He crashes her wedding to claim her in front of everyone. Desperate to get away from him she runs with her childhood sweetheart, the person she trusts most, who hands her over as a sacrifice. Betrayed and hunted and close to dying, she finds the monster she was running from is the only one still standing between her and the end.
