The story
She thinks he strips. He thinks she's a gold digger.
Emma is the heiress of the Coffman family, freshly dumped, when she runs into Lucas, the head of the Fischer family, in a strip club, right as her ex and his mistress walk in. To save face she asks Lucas to play her husband, and he turns it into a proper fake marriage. Emma is sure Lucas is a stripper. Lucas is sure Emma is a gold digger. Neither wants to admit who they really are, so they keep up the act at home, fend off two villains who will not leave them alone, and somewhere in the middle of all the pretending it stops being pretend.
