The story
The air conditioning dies. The house gets very small.
Becca has spent two years blaming her stepbrother Samir for taking her family, her home and the life she had before their parents married. Then a brutal heatwave knocks the cooling out and they are shut in together with nowhere to go. He works on the broken unit, the resentment starts landing as something else entirely, and the line she has been holding gets harder to find. She has been denying it for years, and the man she is forbidden to want may be the only one she cannot resist.
