The story
He is carrying his friend's ashes home. The sheriff calls him a vagrant.
Ethan is escorting a fallen comrade back where he belongs when a local sheriff decides what he is looking at. Ethan is taken in, questioned, humiliated and hurt, and he takes all of it, because putting up a fight means letting go of the ashes. Then the sheriff does the one thing Ethan cannot allow, and desecrates them. What none of these men know is who Ethan used to command, and his old subordinate now runs the FBI.
