The story
Her brother takes the money meant for her mother's treatment.
The money set aside for her mother's medical care goes to her brother instead, and once she is broke people treat her accordingly. One man steps in while she is being bullied for it. She takes a part time job at a bar and runs into him a second time, and this time he offers to help with the medical bills himself. Before she knows it she's pregnant with twins and living in his house, where she is rather more welcome than she was expecting.
