The story
She threw a silver token into the sea. A god picked it up.
Aloryn's jealous sister betrayed her and killed her, and then Aloryn is reborn. Back from the dead, she lets the sea pick her husband by tossing a silver token into the water, and the man who claims it is a humble fisherman. Everyone laughs at her for it, but she marries him anyway. Her sister and a proud prince make her life miserable, going as far as forcing her to walk across burning coals. That's when her husband's fury breaks loose. He's Poseidon, and he makes them pay. Then his mother Rhea puts Aloryn through one cruel test after another, and only her kindness and her willingness to sacrifice herself win Rhea over. In the end Aloryn is crowned Queen of the Seven Seas, tied to Poseidon forever.
