Adeline gave Brandon everything for three years of a marriage with no love in it, and all she got back was his indifference. So she leaves. She starts over as an independent interior designer, the side of her Brandon never bothered to understand. Without her, Brandon slowly notices everything she used to do for him, all the care and company and quiet sacrifice he'd always taken for granted.
