Victoria Wintour is the backbone of Maison Levaux, and when the top design house is on the edge of ruin, she pulls it back while she's eight months pregnant. She has the baby and returns to work, only to find a new boss, Holly, ready to fire her for being absent without leave. Her protege Rachel is busy telling everyone she's the one who rescued the company. Victoria chooses to leave on her own, with hardly any severance, so the other pregnant women on staff can keep getting paid. She gave the company everything, and she walks out with almost nothing to protect the women still there.
