Seven years in hiding. The Dragon Queen comes back as a healer.
Veya is the Dragon Queen, and she has spent seven years out of sight. When she comes back she's posing as a simple healer, and the man she used to love betrays her and humiliates her. She agrees to a marriage of convenience with Duke Kael Frostwing, a man with real power. Her enemies look at her and see a commoner with nothing behind her. They're wrong. Veya shows them exactly who she is and takes her throne back, and everyone who looked down on her has to kneel.
