Jagger Hamilton leaves Avery on their wedding day for his adopted sister Tatum, and his uncle Beckett, the man Manhattan calls the Ice Blade, marries her in his place. Three years on Avery is carrying Beckett's long awaited child when Jagger and Tatum come back and brutally take the baby from them. Beckett's revenge cripples and disowns them both. Years later Avery and Beckett have a healthy son, and a ruined Jagger, cast out by his own family, ends it himself.
