The story
She came home from war pregnant, holding another man's hand.
The empire's former Grand Marshal retired on his parents' last wishes and married a woman known for her bravery and ambition. She wanted greatness on the battlefield, so he gave her a legendary spear forged from thousand year old cold iron and let her go. Three years later she returns in silver armour with a letter of divorce, telling him a husband must be a heroic figure who stands tall, not a weak scholar with no strength. She has no idea the powerless man she married is the empire's guardian deity, and she is about to watch him put the armour back on.
