The story

Evie wants out of her marriage to an abusive, cheating husband who refuses to let her go. He leaves her broke and homeless rather than free. Then she meets Hunter, and for the first time there is a way out, if Hunter can be the lifeline she needs against a man who would rather see her dead than watch her win.
