Ella loved Holden from childhood, after he promised to keep her safe, and a witch put a prophecy over the pair of them that made her his Luna. Holden convinced himself she was in it to be Luna and nothing more, and grew to hate her for it. Ivy, the girl he grew up with, works on that until Ella believes the two of them are together, and then Ella overhears him planning to end her pregnancy. She divorces him, leaves carrying the baby, finds her way to the Silver Snow Clan and learns she is their lost princess.
