Emma is in a car accident, and when she tries to reach her husband Elijah he ignores her because he is with Stella. Then she finds out Stella may be carrying his child. Emma files for divorce and refuses to take a penny from him, which is the part Elijah cannot make sense of, because he always assumed the money was why she stayed.
