The story
Four god kings raised her, then believed a liar.
Evelyn was the beloved human daughter of four Norse god kings until the false saintess Freya framed her, and the fathers who brought her up chose Freya. They stripped her blessing, tortured her soul, took her blood and left her begging to die. Only after she is actually dead do they learn Freya was the monster and that Evelyn's real mother has been trapped beneath the World Tree the whole time. Now the gods want her back, and the girl they destroyed is not interested.
