Evadne is slapped, shamed and rejected at her own engagement by Valerius, the Black Dragon prince, after her twin takes the sacred power meant to protect her. Branded impure in front of the realm, she marries Aurelius, the cursed god king everyone fears. The stolen power carries a cruel catch, because every shameful child her sister conceives can be forced into Evadne's body. Nobody has worked out that Evadne can purify any bloodline and wake extinct Titans, so the harder they push, the more divine monsters she delivers.
