When everything falls, not everyone stays loyal to their own species, and plenty cut deals with the invading monsters. The ones who refuse gather around Milo Fairfax: Vera Lovell, Lou Goodwin, Clara Lyle and other gifted fighters, pooling their powers for one purpose. The home they defend is hopelessly outnumbered.
